It wasn’t bad, it just kind of didn’t mix together quite like I expected. The only thing is the singing kind of through me off from the backing music. ‘To Absent Friends’ another great song penned by Lorenzo is the third song on the EP. It’s one of those times that a super positive song could make me cry, which to me, makes it an amazing song. I wish that he could have heard this song maybe he would have been inspired to see life through. Yet, it makes me sad because of the recent passing of my teenage brother-in-law. It is positive and uplifting in the sense that it is basically like saying that life is what you make of it. This song sends me through a rollercoaster of emotions. ‘Who Pays the Ferryman’ the only labeled as penned by Dave Dowdeswell-Allaway, carries on the soft-like vibe the album started with. I believe it opens the record on quite a positive note. Musically, the song kind of has that 1980s movie music vibe meets something that you find on a later Pink Floyd album. I would actually like to ask Lorenzo his inspiration for this song. At first listen, it could be taken as a religious song, though I am not sure that’s what was meant here. Their newest release on JReturn has been a long time coming. After 30 years, they have returned with an additional third member Dave Dowdeswell-Allaway on drums, acoustic guitar, piano and vocals. He then went on to form Mellotroanism in May 2012.Īll through the 1990s, Sean and Lorenzo maintained contact, continuing work as Airbridge, but no real albums made it beyond demo-stage releases. Edward Percival went on to play in various tribute bands. He followed that up in 2008 by playing keyboards in the live line-up of No-Man. After the end of Lahost, he went on to form The Fire Theives, get into film-making and technical journalism. Stephen Bennett went on to co-found Lahost with old bandmate David Beckett. ![]() Lorenzo Bedini went on to play for a 1960’s cover band and run music workshops in a prison. Unfortunately, this album was never released, and at the end of 1983, what was left of Airbridge was officially over. Enter Geoff Chamberlain with whom they recorded, Beyond the Veil. Just after, Lorenzo Bedini and Bennett exited the band. They then released the single ‘Words and Pictures’. Also, there was an additional member added to the band, also on keyboards, Stephen J. Their debut album Paradise Moves debuted three years later in 1983. And backing then on drums was David Beckett. There was Lorenza Bedini and Edward Percival, who played guitar keyboards and sang, along with Sean Godfrey who played bass and sang. In 1980’s Norwich, East Anglia four men gathered together in music.
